Location and Parking: South mesa trailhead at Eldorado canyon
Difficulty: Moderate to Strenuous
Trail length: 7 miles round trip
Elevation Gain: 2,779 ft
You will cross south boulder creek and the old historical homestead then start making your way up the foot hills towards shadow canyon. As you go up the canyon the trail follows a creek bed and you will pass a couple of old abandoned cabins. You will reach a saddle between at the top of Shadow canyon from there the view opens up. You will see up and down the snowcapped continental divide and Indian peaks wilderness.
At the top of the saddle turn left am make your way to the top of the mountain, which is South Boulder Peak.
